On top of having easy access from Tokyo, located in the most inland side of Yuzawa area in Minami Uonuma-gun, Niigata prefecture, Naeba has a high altitude and outstanding quality of dry snow which makes it a very popular destination. With Mt. Takenoko crowned as its summit, all 21 gentle and steep terrains rich in variety are laid out over an enormous area. These wide ranged terrains catering to all skill levels offer many ways for visitors to enjoy. The longest gondola in the world (5,481m) ‘Dragondola’, connecting Naeba with neighbouring Kagura Ski Resort, was opened in 2002, and this gondola made it possible to access Kagura, Mitsumata and Tashiro ski resorts from Naeba. At the Family Snowland, many activities such as snow rafting, snow tubing, snow trains, snowmobiles and more are offered, so adults can also have a fulfilling time with kids.
At the foot of the slope stands Naeba Prince Hotel. This grand scale hotel is like a small town and is packed with entertainment facilities enabling guests to bask in a comfortable resort life. The hotel is filled with all essential facilities for resort life: Japanese restaurant, Western cuisine restaurant, Chinese restaurant, lounge, bar, convenience store, fast food restaurant, sports shop, hot spring and more.
