It takes about 70 minutes from Tokyo station to Echigo Yuzawa station by Joetsu Shinkansen. You can access to snowy mountains with a spectacular view of 1,000 meters in height by the ropeway of Yuzawa Kogen Ski Resort which has the largest capacity of 166 passengers in the world, Snow quality is powder snow because of high altitude. The course is divided into Kogen area and Nunoba area. There are features such as variety of course layouts that you can enjoy gentle slope, steep slope, and downhill of up to 5 km from beginners to advanced people. In addition, you can enjoy snow tubing and sledding at two snow lands in both Kogen area and Nunoba area. Yuzawa Kogen is linked to GALA Yuzawa and Ishiuchi Maruyama by ropeway.
There are hot springs village near Echigo Yuzawa station as recommended accommodation. After enough sliding, you can take hot spring at “Komakusano-yu” and walk around village in the evening. Also enjoy “arupunosato” and “kumo no ueno cafe” which opens in the green season.
